Methods of protection and preservation of reproductive function during antineoplastic therapy

Abstract

For the patients who have had malignant diseases and wishing to continue productive life, there is a very important question of preserving fertility. In the article main aspects of chemotherapy and X-ray therapy influence on ovarian function and their safeguards are reviewed. Besides main assisted reproductive technologies, including cryopreservation and transplantation of ovarian tissue, oocyte cryopreservation and embryo cryopreservation are described.
