Early prognosis of preeclampsia: the reality of today

Abstract

Background. Researchers are looking for the most optimal predictive markers of preeclamsia. First of all, this is due to the possibility of timely prevention of preeclampsia and proper perinatal observation. The search of the most important markers of preeclampsia was the main task of this review.

The aim of this work was to identify the most ideal tools for prognosis of preeclampsia.

Material and methods. We searched for publications for the period 1963–2021 using the terms "preeclampsia", "gestational hypertension".

Results. Our search made it possible to identify and analyze 154 scientific publications.

Conclusion. The combination of several markers can provide the best predictive accuracy to detect preeclampsia. To select ideal markers, it is necessary to conduct a multicenter prospective study.
