Pathogenetic aspects of missed pregnancy

Abstract

Missed pregnancy (MP) – one of the unresolved problems in Russian Federation and in the world due to the insufficiently studied etiology and pathogenesis. The frequency of MP over the past decade has increased from 10–20 to 45–88.6%. High prevalence, polyetiology, lack of reliable methods of prevention creates the need to search for new mechanisms of the development of the disease. The article discusses current data of the possible causes and mechanisms of the development of missed pregnancy.

Keywords:missed pregnancy; spontaneous miscarriage; early pregnancy; reproductive losses; chronic endometritis
