Long-term results in infertility treatment of patients with benign ovarian neoplasms

Abstract

Aim – increase the effectiveness of complex treatment infertility in patients with benign ovarian neoplasms.

Material and methods. The study included 170 patients with benign ovarian neoplasms and infertility, which were divided into the following groups: 60 patients with endometrioid ovarian cysts and infertility; 60 patients with serous cystadenomas and infertility; 50 patients with dermoid cysts and infertility.

Results. In patients with benign ovarian masses and infertility, the frequency of fertility restoration depends on the tumor morphotype. A decrease in the ovarian reserve after surgical treatment occurs in the following sequence: 1 – endometrioid cysts, 2 – serous cystadenomas, 3 – dermoid cysts.

Conclusion. Comprehensive treatment of infertility in patients with benign ovarian tumors and infertility leads to restoration of fertility: with endometrioid cysts in 58% cases, with serous cystadenomas in 70% of cases, with dermoid cysts in 80% of cases.
