Efficacy of therapy on anxiety and social functioning in premenopausal women with estrogen deficiency

Abstract

The influence of the natural non-hormonal agent on the level of anxiety, social functioning of 77 premenopausal women with hypoestrogenemia was studied. The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) was used to assess psychological characteristics. The degree of the stress-induced effect of estrogen deficiency on the social aspects of life in the studied patients was measured by D.V. Sheehan’s visual-spatial subscales adapted for patients. Therapy has been found to have a positive effect on the psychological state of premenopausal women with estrogen deficiency and the social aspects of their lives.
