Clinical and anamnestic data of pregnant women with extragenital diseases

Abstract

The aim of the study – to evaluate the clinical and anamnestic data of pregnant women with obesity.

Material and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the maternity hospital at the City Clinical Hospital # 29 named after N.E. Bauman. 90 pregnant women with obesity were examined. The group 1 included patients with obesity of the I degree (n=54), in the group 2 – with obesity of the II degree (n=24), in the group 3 – pregnant women with obesity of the III degree (n=12).

Results. There are significant differences in pre-pregnancy weight between the groups. Thus, the lowest pregestational weight was observed in pregnant women with obesity of group 1, amounting to 89.5±6.7 kg, the maximum – in pregnant women of group 3 – 122.5±9.1 kg. Only 18 (30.3%) pregnant women from group 1 underwent pre-gravidar training, 2 (12.5%) pregnant women from group 2, and none from group 3. No statistical differences were found between the groups. This indicates insufficient outpatient monitoring of these patients and their low compliance at the stage of pregravid preparation. From the data obtained, we see that the differences between the burdened family history of obesity and hypertension before pregnancy between the patients of groups 1 and 2–3 were statistically significant. The frequency of hypothyroidism did not differ between the groups. Thus, the least burdened by family history were pregnant women with I degree of obesity – 7 (12.9%) and they also had the lowest incidence of hypertension – 7.0 (12.9%) in comparison with pregnant women of groups 2 and 3, where the frequency of hypertension was 75.0 and 83.3%, respectively.

Conclusion. The risk of developing arterial hypertension depends on the degree of obesity, a burdened family history of obesity is a risk factor for developing grade II and III obesity, all obese patients have low compliance, which is manifested by a low frequency of pre-gravidar preparation among the patients of the examined groups.
