The psychological component of the gestational dominant of patients with gestational diabetes mellitus

Abstract

The incidence of diabetes mellitus, including in women of reproductive age, has increased significantly in the XXI century. An important contribution to the prevalence of diabetes mellitus is made by gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), the frequency of which reaches 84.2% among all types of hyperglycemia during pregnancy. In order to improve the compliance of patients with GSD, optimize the treatment process and delivery, the need to study their psychological portrait is beyond doubt.

The aim of this study is to determine the frequency of the optimal type of psychological component of the dominant pregnancy (PCDP) in patients with GDM and its determining factors to optimize pregnancy outcomes.

Results. Patients with GSD had low compliance and were not committed to treatment. The frequency of the optimal PCDB was inversely dependent on the parity and decreased as it increased. Disorders of fat metabolism had a statistically significant effect on PCDP: with a BMI of more than 40 kg/m2, the frequency of the optimal type of PCDP decreased by 3.3 times in comparison with patients with normal body weight.
