Metabolic features of patients with missed miscarriage

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine prognostic serological markers in patients with non-progressive pregnancy (NP).

Material and methods. In this study, 182 patients aged 18-45 years were examined, which were divided into 3 groups depending on the progression of pregnancy: Group I - 90 patients with non-developing pregnancy before the gestational age of 11 weeks at the time of the examination; Group II - 52 patients with spontaneous miscarriage before 11 weeks of gestation and Group III - 40 women with progressive uterine pregnancy before 11 weeks of gestation (control group). All women underwent liquid chromatography - a mass spectrometric method for studying blood serum with the determination of potentially significant serum markers.

Analysis of the results of the study showed a direct relationship between non-developing pregnancy and the presence of circulating potentially significant serological markers, such as APOC2 apolipoprotein in the blood serum of patients with NP.

Conclusion. The study revealed the possibility of using mass spectrometric analysis of blood serum to determine APOC2 as a prognostic marker in patients with NP.
