Abstract

The all-Russian project "Regional Educational Schools of the Russian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists" is a long-term project on continuing medical education of obstetrician-gynecologists of the country, which represents a unique opportunity to improve level of knowledge and skills of physicians from regions, and also provides conditions for effective communication with colleagues from leading scientific organizations of the country. The Russian Society of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RSOG) managed to create a platform for ex-changing knowledge and experience of practicing physicians, improving their professional skills, as well as for introducing new innovative approaches.

From 2016 to 2020, 56 RSOG Schools were held. Over the years, Lecturers from the Kulakov Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology National Medical Research Center of Ministry of Health саге of the Russian Federation and other leading institutions of the country held seminars, lectures, round tables and master classes in all federal districts of the Russian Federation. The project developed annually, but not only geographically, content of scientific program of the Schools also changed. Every year, more and more blocks for interdisciplinary development of specialty were included in it, in addition sections in auxiliary disciplines (such as legal literacy and psychology) were organized. In total, more than 45,000 specialists from different regions and cities of the country were trained within the framework of the project (obstetrician-gynecologists, neonatologists, ultrasound specialists, gynecologic oncologists, pediatricians, endocrinologists, anesthesiologists-reanimatologists, surgeons, specialists in radiotherapy and roentgenologists, fertility specialists, therapeutists, urologists, nurses, etc.). Introduction of online format for holding RSOG Schools in 2020 allowed the project to reach all-Russian level of coverage of the audience of medical specialists within the framework of increasing the level of postgraduate education.
