Noninvasive methods of therapy for human papillomavirus infection in patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia: a systematic review and metaanalysis

Abstract

In the article an overview of the study to assess the effectiveness of noninvasive methods of therapy for human papillomavirus infection in patients with cervical intraepithelial neoplasia, which led to a statistically significant increase in frequency of HPV elimination compared to the control group data, is represented.

It was found that treatment of biological and herbal regimen, interferon regimen and probiotics benefit patients who have HPV infection and low-grade squamous intraepithelial cervical lesion. Both clearance of HPV and regression of cervical lesions were significant. However, more studies with less heterogeneity are needed to draw a concrete conclusion.
