Expert council resolution on iron-deficiency anemia in women

Abstract

From June 9 to June 23, 2020, the work of the expert council "Topical issues of iron deficiency in the Russian Federation" took place online. Chaired by the chief freelance therapist of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences O.M. Drapkina and the President of the Russian scientific medical society of internal medicine, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences A.I. Martynov the council consisted of 40 experts: professors, doctors and candidates of science (hematologists, therapists, obstetricians-gynecologists and clinical pharmacologists). Council members represented 15 scientific-research and educational institutions, 20 Russian regions (the council composition is given in Appendix No. 2). The members of the expert council worked according to the specially developed program, as a result of which it became possible to prepare the submitted final document that reflected the expert's opinion on various aspects of the problem under consideration and to formulate proposals for the practical healthcare.
