Possibilities of imaging techniques in the diagnosis of pelvic floor disorder

Abstract

This review focuses on the diagnosis of pelvic floor disorder (PFD). Transperineal sonography, Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are available non-invasive methods, allowing to diagnose PFD or exclude it. Presented are modern literature data on the criteria for the diagnosis of the pelvic floor in normal and insolvency.

Keywords:pelvic floor insolvency, genital prolapse, pelvic floor sonography, MRI, rectocele
