Characteristics of risk factors and clinical manifestations of the genital prolapse in nulliparous
Abstract
Aim - to identify the main risk factors and clinical manifestations of genital prolapse (GP) in nulliparous women.
Material and methods. A retrospective analysis of 3,448 cases history of women who had undergone operative treatment for GP. Out of them, we were enrolled a group of research - 10 patients without delivery through the natural birth canal. They were surveyed for risk factors of GP, clinical manifestations of GP, severity of connective tissue dysplasia (CTD), body mass index (BMI), gynecological examination.
Results. In nulliparous women, the main risk factor (RF) for the development of GP was severe CTD, overweight and obesity during the menopause, which lead to an anatomical disorders and cause dysfunction of the pelvic organs in women age of 60 and older.
Conclusions. Timely diagnosis and elimination of the RF, as well as therapy targeted at the clinical manifestations of CTD, can reduce the chance of malfunction of pelvic organs, avoid surgical treatment and thereby improve the life quality of this patients.
