Influenza in pregnant women

AbstractIt is shown that in addition to the increased susceptibility of pregnant women to the influenza virus, they often have severe and complicated forms of infection. Data on the relationship of the disease of pregnant women with influenza in early pregnancy with anomalies in the development of newborns are presented. Obstetrical tactics are determined individually for each pregnant woman, depending on the severity of the disease. Given the risk of severe course, treatment of pregnant women with influenza antiviral drugs should be started as early as possible, the maximum therapeutic effect can be obtained with the initiation of therapy in the first 24-48 hours from the onset of the disease. It was established that antiviral therapy of influenza in pregnant women with drugs with proven efficacy reduced the frequency of preterm birth and other complications. The data on the expressed positive therapeutic effect of the combination of oseltamivir and Viferon® in case of influenza infection, the use of which reduces the incidence of adverse outcomes (abortion) and improves the prognosis of pregnancy and disease.
