Influence of menopausal hormonal therapy on cardiovascular system

AbstractReduction of level of sex hormones currently is one of the important reasons of development of cardiovascular diseases (CVD), especially at women with climacteric symptoms. Vasomotor symptoms worsen health in general, and also reduce a self-rating and working capacity. Now "fever inflows" are associated with high risk of development cardiovascular accidents. Interest in CVD in a postmenopause is substantially concentrated on influence of the menopausal hormonal therapy (MHT) on risk of coronary events and a stroke. Results of many researches showed that MHT favorably influences cardiovascular risks, providing a certain level of a cardioprotection. Women relation to hormonal therapy in a postmenopause changes recent years. For the women approaching a menopause and most sharply testing the symptoms bound to this period, advantages of MHT outweigh risks from it.
