Cervical small-cell carcinoma

Abstract

Objective of the study - is to contact a systematic analysis of the data available in the current literature on the modern approaches to small cell carcinoma of the cervix.

Materials and methods. The review comprises the data from foreign and Russian academic articles found in PubMed on the subject having been published.

Results. The article provides a description of the epidemiology, clinical behavior, diagnosis and treatment of the small cell carcinoma of uterine cervical carcinoma. Base on the data, presented in world literature the author introduce and analyze the current guidelines for the treatment of such patients.

Conclusion. Further, research in this direction is required for the optimal treatment of small cell carcinoma.
