Modern approaches to early termination of pregnancy by medication

Abstract

In this review modern trends for improving women healthcare quality in case of early abortion are observed. It provides information about increasing of indications field for medical methods, as well as the timing of abortion in the I trimester. There are described: optimal doses of mifepristone administration, as well as doses and mode of misoprostol dosing regimen; termination of incomplete spontaneous or induced abortion, as well as uterine evacuation in case of missed abortion; late termination of pregnancy. The author believes that method of early termination of pregnancy by medication has its own advantages and will replace surgery.
