Cesarean section with an intact fetal bladder in case of twin pregnancy

Abstract

Aim. To determine the effectiveness of cesarean section method with an intact fetal bladder in case of twin pregnancy, depending on gestational age and birth order.

Material and methods. Analysis of 70 cesarean sections in case of twin pregnancy with definition of fetus surgical techniques on surgery length, blood loss, neonatal status and morbidity in the first year of life.

Results. Statistically significant blood loss reduction in case of insignificant increase of surgery length; significant fetus improvement after birth; reduction in resuscitation volumes, length of hospital stay, neurological changes, hospitalization frequency in case of cesarean section with an intact fetal bladder at any gestational age independent of birth order were determined.

Discussion. Technique for caesarean section with an intact fetal bladder is safe for both mother and fetus.
