Ulipristal acetate in leiomyomas treatment

Abstract

Leiomyoma is one of the most common gynecological diseases. The main treatment for uterine fibroids is surgery. An effective drug for the treatment of this pathology is not still developed.

Studies have shown the effectiveness of the progesterone receptor modulator ulipristal acetate in the preoperative treatment of leiomyomas and the control of concomitant menorrhagia.
